Oxycodone is an opioid, and I was given it as brand name Oxycontin after my hip op. It is definitely pretty addictive and I found it hard cutting down, but forced myself.

The drug it's blended with in Percocet is another name for paracetamol. So, sorry to disagree, Jem, but neither of those drugs are equivalent to Nurofen (ibuprofen).

Oh, well, I'm no expert. I just assumed it was a prescribed drug for back ache.

Fabulous! She's a junkie - so that sort of explains her very unpredictable behaviour. I love the signing off of the organ donation without so much as a by-your-leave from a doc. My feeling is the whole shooting match is just about to come down on her head - it's very clever.
On a less (more?) highbrow note I have just returned from The Prince and the Frog but, am glad to report, slept throughout the whole thing.

Oh, and in the epi we watched last night (probably recorded last Monday), Jackie's pharmacist lover gave her some pills and said they were 'oxy', but high strength so go easy. At least, that's what my husband heard him say. So, oxycodone/oxycontin.

When I was on them I *really* craved more. Felt awful when I needed more. And this was all for medical purposes!!!

Boo Hoo! It's finished now!!!! How long will we have to wait for season 2 do you think?

We'll have to wait six months won't we? At least it's something to cheer up next winter - which is how I used to feel about ER (in its first five years). I haven't watched the last one yet - too scared - will have to watch through fingers, I feel.
There is always Glee though at which, after y'all recommended it, I have been having a good chortle. And True Blood?
I think I need to get out more.

I watched this, but missed the first few episodes. My husband and I were wondering why she hid her married status from work in the first place, and whether that was made clear nearer the beginning?

I mean, we understand why she didn't want Eddie finding out once they were having an affair, but why did she begin the job on a lie?
