Yep. A rumour went around that Joanna Lumley was set to take up the role. I guess the new Doctor's comment could have been a swipe at that instead? He's never worried about turning out female before!

She's a Scots writer who wrote a fabulous YA novel - Questors - which I love - and she rocks

I think her take on a female Time Lord would be brilliant!
