I feel quite bad about besmirching his Corrie character when I heard that Wm Roache's wife has died. That's really a shame, because she looks so young. I thought he was old, but I think I read he was 76! One wouldn't wish such a thing on anybody.
On a more practical note, I wonder how many more pre-recorded episodes there are before we come to the end of them. He's bound to take a while to recover and might need a lot of time off. So I'm worried about who will be next to board Cleopatra's barge. Dev? Roy? Surely not Norris. He's got his camper van lady.
I've been out a lot recently and I had to watch the recorded episodes out of order and may have missed one or two. So excuse me if some of my facts have been revised.
I must say my respect for Deirdre has gone right out the window. I mean, there's Ken , 70 if he's a day and never been known to wear a woolly jumper with more than one colour, not that I've seen, anyway. He brings home a silk embroiderd kimono, bought for him by Stephanie/Martha and tells Deirdre of the Sorrows that he's bought it himself! And she does'nt even blink an eye! If it were me, I'd have the detectives on him straight away. And her a Lancashire woman, too. it's barely credible. He might just as well bring young Peter round to tea as she suggested and pass her off as his long-lost cousin or something.

Wm Roache;s wife was about 20 years younger - 58 - and died totally unexpectedly. Terrible shame.
