For those who liked The Prestige, this is another great Christian Bale film. It's not period, but it's a great twisting plot with a wonderful denouement. Fantastic film.

I much preferred this to The Prestige - I really enjoyed it.

The best Christian Bale film, though, is Velvet Goldmine in my opinion. Although that might have something to do with the fact that it features Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Ewan McGregor in glam rock gear.
