  • For the Doctor Who fans among us

I've just got back from a Doctor Who event at the Barbican, which was part of the Children's Film Festival.
Russell T Davies was talking to a children's tv presenter about how he works, and they were joined on stage by the sfx people, music people and so on. And then lots of the monsters came onto the stage, including cybermen, a dalek and an Ood.It was brilliant!
It started with the theme tune playing really loud, and dalek shaped lights sweeping around the auditorium. Then the stage opened up and a Tardis came up through the floor.
I'm still grinning from ear to ear.

crikey, have just realised how breathlessly that was written!

Hi Caroline, my little boy would have loved that. We recently took him to the exhibition in Cardiff and really enjoyed it.

Sounds brilliant, Caroline! Caught a glimpse of the Radio Times cover for the week after next with 'The next Dr Who' on the cover. And there was David Morrisey. I may have second sight. But there may have been a question mark after the word "Who". So I don't know.

Weeeell, they showed a clip of the Xmas special, which also added to the impression that DM will be The Next One.
He and DT were standing together and being watched on a CCTV screen. Someone, can't remember who, but some baddie, pointed to them and said 'There is the Doctor' but was pointing to DM!!!
T'was all very thrilling, I can tell you.
Suspect I should get out more
