Watched this last night (6 parter about flu pandemic wiping out global population, killing over 90%) - out of nostalgia, really, cos i can remember watching the original in the 70s (this is a remake) and thinking, as a child, that it was brilliant.

This was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't care much about the characters by the end and i can't really see where it's going and it didn't come across as anything new.

One crit i read said it literally was just an exact remake of the original so what was the point.

I'll give it another go on Tuesday, though.

I watched this too and woke up with a cold this morning :O

I thought it was okay but some of the acting seemed a bit wooden. I don't remember it from the 70s. Like you say, Casey, I'm not sure I care much about the characters at the moment.

    Yikes, don't breath on me

Maybe you are a year or two too young. It was brill, though. Funny how some tv programmes can stick in your mind for years. Love for Lydia was another series i've always remembered.

I remember when I was about 12 I couldn't sleep one night and ended up downstairs, curled up on the sofa with my mum watching A Town Called Alice. It was a 2 or 3 parter and because I watched the first one Mum let me stay up and watch the rest on the following nights. I'll never forget that.
