Hello - I've just joined so aplogies if I am being thick - how do I read uploaded work that people have mentioned? And how to I upload mine if I want to and what would happen to it? Many thanks.

Hi, most work is visible to group members only, so first you need to join the group, or groups, you're interested in.
You;ll find the list here:

- note that some are more active than others, and it's best to choose one where members are uploading and commenting regularly.

After an initial pending period while Admin adds you to the group, you can upload a piece of work. Note, there's a 2 day waiting period between uploads so if you make a mistake it's best to 'Owner Edit' it, rather than delete it.
To upload work click on your 'My WriteWords' in the top right hand corner of the page. Scroll down and you'll see 'click here to upload new work', and follow the instructions.
In Step 2, half way down, you should see the group, or list of the groups, you've joined, next to 'Which Group?'. Click in the circle in front of the Group you want to upload the work into. (You can only upload a peice of work into one group at a time, but once you have a body of work in your archive you can add links to new uploads, eg, if you want to link to earlier chapters).
When you want to upload a new piece of work to a Group your old upload will automatically be saved in your personal archive along with the feedback it's recieved, where you can leave it viewable to members, or, via Owner Edit, set it to be visible to you only.
