I live on the Berks/Hamps border. In the past five years have written a few, unpublished, short stories and many drafts of two novels. Currently rewriting the second one before lining the hamster cage with it and moving onto the third.

Joined many of the groups here as it seems a good way to learn and maybe help others with my limited knowledge.

Am also dyslexic so please forgive grammer. I do get my writing proofed whenever I sub.

Welcome to ww. It's a worthwhile experience.

You'll find that members are quite forgiving about spelling and grammar. Let's face it - there are always editors around and the content, style and feel are far more important. (And, in the unlikely event that the hamster does have to become involved, it'll be the feel that's most appreciated).

I'm on the Hants/Berks boarder too, so maybe we have some people/places in common, eg, have you met Sue at The Hurst?

Anyway, hope you take the plunge and upload some stuff. The Short Story group is pretty active, the Flash Fiction groups are very active, and here's the Womans Fiction group, etc, for novel extracts.

Yes, you can post it for feedback. Just set it to be Visible to WriteWords Members Only, or Group Members Only, then it won't be visible to the general public and won't be considered to be published. And oyu can always set it to be 'visible to yourself only' before you submit to the competition.
