Hello everyone, I've just taken our a trial membership and thought I'd let on to everyone.

I've been messing around with "creative" writing since I was young and thought I'd take the plunge and out it into my daily routine to make sure my ideas come to fruition.

I'm on here to get feedback from other writers as opposed to family and friends as I feel I'll be more likely to get constructive criticism.

I'll be uploading a prologue and chapter from my untitled novel later today, just got a couple of creases to iron out of it before I show it to anyone else!

Welcome, some good feedback available, as Naomi would have said if I hadn't (finally) beaten her to it is to join one of the groups. Culture here encourages reciprocal critting, so don't be shy about reading others' writing and offering your two cents either!

ps: Somewhere in that first sentence, please insert "best bet". EG: I am encouraging you to join one of the groups rather than merely stringing random words together for visual effect.

As a Part Member you can join one Group and upload one piece of work, so it's best to look for one of the more active wriing group forums.

If you need any help just give us a shout.

Thanks NMott, I'll have a good look at the groups now.

PS: Just noticed you had uploaded and forgot to mention; generally a good idea to post shorter pieces rather than longer ones. 1500 words equates to a bit over three pages and can be read over a cup of coffee. More than that, say 3801 words , becomes more of an undertaking (at least two cups of coffee...) and so results in fewer responses as it is harder to slot into a break.

Yeah, I gathered that! If I sign up for full membership I'll try to keep my uploads shorter!

If you sign up for full membership you will be able to join more groups and move around until you find one you're happy in. You may find that Fantasy is a bit quiet.
