After floating around the Internet for some time I've stumbled across the first writers' Internet site based in the UK that actually delivers everything I've been looking for.
I am a huge horror fan, though I've kept my preferred authors to a minimum, i.e. Dean Koontz, Stephen King (naturally), James Herbert (also, naturally), Shaun Hutson, Clive Barker, Bram Stoker, Peter Straub, Dan Simmons and have dabbled in Poe (very peculiar). There are others, but these, I have bought many of their books.
My goal since 2005 has been to move into authorship and earn a living that way, instead of I.T. which I have been doing for 20+ years, but, as I have now found out, earning reasonable dosh for writing is very difficult. In fact, I've not got anywhere yet apart from self-publishing, which I have done for a series of children's books.
However, I love writing (I didn't know it could be so interesting) and am determined to make a success of writing novels in the horror/chiller genres. I know my time will come, but what I don't know is whether I will be alive when it does.
Apart from I.T., writing and a self-published author, I am also an amateur ghost hunter and am into Sci-Fi & Fantasy as well.
Hope that's enough for the intro.
All the best
Simon

I will be posting some stuff shortly and I will be looking for candid critiques. At the moment I am considering posting a disturbing piece of poetry. But as it’s not completed yet it will be a while yet.
Hi, Simon, and a belated welcome to WW from a fellow fan of the paranormal.
Give us a shout if you need any help finding your way around, and good luck with your writing.
