Hi there, my name is Andy Remic, author of five novels (Spiral, Quake, Warhead, War Machine and Biohell) with 3 more out in the next 15 months. I remember a time before getting published, the despair I felt thinking it would never happen. But trust me, it can happen... without contacts, and with a lot of hard work.
I'd like to offer any advice, if I can, via this fine forum :-)
You can check out my website at www.andyremic.com and my WIRED and WEIRD blog at andyremic.blogspot.com.
Writers are always (should always be) looking for advice and feedback on their work, so thanks for the offer. The best way you can help other members is to go into the archive (click the tab at the top of the page) and comment on some of the work uploaded there.
Hi Andy. Dee isn't quite covering all the options for a published writer. It's nice to have comments on work, but the bulk of advice is given in the forum. We have a couple of published writers who offer advice on general queries - so don't feel you have to wade through a pile of sample chapters in order to help.
Just jump on in! The lounge and Private Members areas are usually the most active.
"War Machine is like the collected hardware spank banks of Chris Foss, Neal Asher and Jeremy Clarkson all mashed into one"- Death Ray magazine, January 2008.
About time we had some bloke-lit on here to even up the balance )
Also it's worth pointing out that this is a two way process. Thos of us that are published still learn loads from this site.
And it can be very enteratining.
Welocme.
