Hi to anyone who reads this..

I've just written my first childrens' book and I'm 13,000 words into the re-write. I found this amazingly resourceful site while surfing during a well needed break..I shall definitely join when I've paid myself at the end of the month.
I've written songs, poetry and rantings before, but this is my first full length story, aimed at 8-11yr olds..I think!
I've sold a few paintings in the past, but it just doesn't seem to feed my creative juices anymore so here I am.
I've submitted to two agents in the last few days and tried to forget about it.
Anyway, I've uploaded the first chapter and am hoping for some constructive critisism..
Right, back to the re-write..

Welcome to WriteWords. I've had a quick look at what you uploaded and hope to go back for a proper read. Seems a very thoughful book. There are quite a few of us have been here for several years. This place can get addictive.
