'The Airedale Writers' Circle (AWC) is a lively writers' group, founded in 1995 by people with a wide range of backgrounds and age, all with a common interest in writing, be it short stories or poetry. Our monthly meetings, held in central Keighley, are open to anyone wishing to come along to sample our hospitality, especially when we have special speakers. For instance, in February 2011, Ian Clayton talked about his latest book and his writing day. He made us work too, with a brief workshop to help us develop imagery in our writing.'
