Standing still for all to see
That where I am is not to be
“Whence I came henceforth I go”
Reflected thoughts I cannot know

A futile chase that won’t be won
Across a distance mid-way done
An equal measure yet to come
Bisect this path to halfway home

Ad infinitum you agree?
That home is not my destiny
How far yet come or come to see
That where I am is not to be

In line three, would 'From whence I came...' scan better?

I've made mistakes in this area before, so I mention it merely as a personal observation! :)

Despite its short simplicity I felt there was much to reflect on in the poem and like the way you've posed a theme which is often written about.

Nice one,

Anthony
