I keep having problems uploading this note.

To get us thinking about drafting I've put my poem up in the forum. See below! This is so we can see more than one draft at pretty much the same time. I hope people will be interested in it. And be encouraged to post up drafts in progress themselves.

cheers

Hello Everyone

Okay I don't want to sound grumpy, but seriously am I wasting my time trying to get us looking at drafts? Or is everybody just on holiday? Or is redrafting too frightening for most people? I can understand this, Sometimes I write a poem and by the time I've got down to re-drafting it I find there isn't a poem there in the first place - and it's terrifying to think I've put in all that work for nothing, but sometimes there is a gem covered in all the debris and rubble of unneeded words and images and a poem glimmers to be worked on and eventually polished, and set to one side with a big sigh of accomplishment.

So please, help me out here and indulge me by considering this poem in the forum. It is literally a raw draft.

Thanks muchly

Hey do only the women in this group care about re-drafting? Only one man as yet has commetned on the drafting process and he's not even in our group. Hmmmmm...... If it's good enough for Owen and Keats isn't it good enough for us? I wonder....

Hi fevvers,
8 months late, but a man who cares about the drafting process.
To be honest, a great deal of what I read on this site is what I would call the first draft. The idea is there, released from the brain onto the paper - but now the real work begins...
