Summary: You still pierce my heart with those heavenly eyes; Leave but do not disappear; Close the door but don’t lock me out; A love turned sour in its final finale!

This is the vanity of reality;
Gaining love at all costs;
Through pain even at its most odd.
Falling like burnt ashes;
Are memories of how it was…
How I thought it would be…
How it never came!
One look into that cold heart;
Did my joy crumble as vengeance arose;
Pain and anguish for one;
Nothing to gain and nothing to loose.
Love turned sour;
A painful part of its crisis.
Helped me learn this
Only one is loved and the other hated.
So give me a reason not to hate;
Give me a life and but don’t leave me alone.
Still hate lies within me
For the pain you caused;
Tearing my heart and watching me hurt;
I see it but will not tell you;
I know you see it but image evades you.
So close your eyes and don’t look at me;
You still pierce my heart with those heavenly eyes;
Leave but do not disappear;
Close the door but don’t lock me out;
A love turned sour in its final finale!

Nyte..Welcome to WW.
This is a poem from the heart and with pain.
Very well written and must have hurt, no doubt a few tears.

You have used your words well and with such feeling. That makes a good poem.
Hope to read more.
Well done.

xx Alice

Hi and welcome from me too

There are some lovely lines in this but I especially like:

This is the vanity of reality - a great opening line.

Clealry this is written with passion; about passion; for passions loss. This comes over with gusto.

I think you might look at revising some of the lines:

Are memories of how it was…
How I thought it would be…

these don't for me highten the already clear feelings expressed also the ..... don't really help your point. - Just my opinion though.

A great opener - And I look forward to more soon??

with thanks

Tina
