Its luminosity yielded warmth and sight
within the gentleness of her grasp,
unfurling her fingers, it revealed itself
nestling precious, slowly drawing itself
to her lips, blazing brighter still
at the touch of her butterfly kiss.

Released first from her heart
then from her hand,
opening her eyes
to gladly observe it gliding,
reassuringly straight and true
to destinations unknown.

Em, Joanie, thanks, the poem originated from a sort of 'casting your bread upon the waters' thing, ie giving without expectation of receiving.

Am very pleased you enjoyed it and thank you for your comments.

Red, good one..a butterfly kiss is a woman fluttering her eyelashes on a mans cheek.
Liked that.

Could say more but might get kicked off again.
