Dark is the night
mist all around
crackle of twigs and leaves
only the sound.

We look at each other
minds alike
run for the hills
run for the skies.

Settle inside with a drink
maybe two
snuggle up warm
as I say to you.

"Should have had a fish,or a bird to last,
least not a cat
you would have ate it's ass."

I with my Marmite hot and steamy
you had your water now your hot and dreamy
going to bed for tommorow will be
WALKIES...once more

Very atmospheric little snapshot of Nature and Man harmonizing.

Best,

roovacrag, this poem is just like Reno and me on the park and the back fields! I love walking the dog, not so much bathing him as he whines about it, but it's great watching him play and chasing him round.

A lovely poem, enjoyed and appreciated!

Thanks

Don

Don.. glad you get the same enjoyment as I do.
She was a coward this weekend when Nikki(Miffle) came with her cat.
Dylan is a tyrant and so beautiful.
