Going to the nativity
on Thursday afternoon.
Watch my middle grandson
perform as you do.

I dread he will be an angel
that he certainly isn't
Jesus not sure
even wise king sounds pure.

Never the less it will be fun
children are good,at least when it's done
got to go through it all over again
as the eldest does his piece for a second year run.

It's when the youngest who is only two
Sure the school will say "oh not you"
several generations have passed this way
as a family we can say.
we did well by you

Yes it`s Christmas endurance once again ,everyone has seen evryone being in a nativity play, and everyone has been in a nativity play ,it must be the most seen play and be as popular as the tune "Happy Birthday",but sadly the nativity plays are rairly any good.
This poem expresses for me we go through it ,but could we do something different?
All the best Patrick.

Alice,

This says much about the family, suprisingly, especially the children. It's a shame and to be expected that the younger children are compared to the elder ones. They should really be compared to themselves. In teaching I find myself doing the former all the time. It isn't until I do the latter that I see the student for who they are as an individual. Good stuff here.
