Love is kind Love is blind Love is strong Love is long
Love is hate Love is fate Love is fought Love isn't bought
Money can't buy love...
Love is great Love is late Love is faith Love is made
Love is trust Love is lust Love is deep Love isn't cheap
Loyalty buys loves...

Lizk8 welcome to ww.
Last line of second stanza didn't match.
Perhaps
loves not bought.
Same with last stanza
Loves not cheap.
You could have added more.
Love is a wonderous thing
love is a feeling
love is a one-ness
Love is two hearts pounding.
I could go on.
For your first attempt you did great.
I liked your approach and the way you put the words down.
Well done, I think I will read more of the work your holding back.
well done.

It is very difficult writing a "love is ..." poem without reminding the reader of [probably] the greatest definition of all time, in the Bible [I Corinthians 13].
Glad to see you included "love is hate". Many regard this as an oxymoron [a seeming contradiction, like "bittersweet"] but the true opposite of love is not hate but self-seeking. If we all realised that, the world would be a better place, one where we would be unafraid to hate the evils that plague us. Love takes us out of our selfishness; it makes us care; it makes us fight all that would harm what we love; it ... dare I say ... it makes us fully alive, hence it is now - and ever will be - a spur to poetic outburst.
I am not going to offer any deep criticism, for you are at the outset of a journey and will develop your skills as you go along. Keep hold of that flame within.

Hi Alice,
You posted this lovely poem twenty years ago, so it's likely that you won't get this message. But in case you do, I wanted to say that you have talent and it's a shame that you're not still an active WW member.
I hope that life is treating you well.
Roger.
