Monkey Prayers


Our banana
who art in yellow
hallowed be thy root,
thy jungle come
thy seed be sown
from earth as
it is in canopy,
give us our
banana falls,
and forgive us
our restlessness,
as we forgive
those that wrestle
against us,
and lead us not
into wildlife
reservations,
but deliver us
fresh weevils.
