I am wired in. This is a fact I have to come to terms with.
My mobile my lover the last thing I touch at night the first thing I turn on at dawn, brushing my teeth while ear-plugging my Blue Tooth.
My Ipod, my inspiration, they will never know the sheer sensation as I funk my way - rebelling against the mediocrity of the day.
My laptop, my imagination infinite, mind-expanding-bending diversity, googling away the hours lol-ing with friends, wannabe admirers...
Umbilical severence not an option - my handbag stuffed as it is with chargers , and with each new arrival (borne by couriers I know by name) I unwrap with an-ti-ci-pa-tion, blissfully transported to the delectation of gizmo heaven. Bling, I am Gadget Queen.

It's like... the Matrix or something. Kinda cool indeed, with lots of cool words cooly placed, disregarding 'funk' and 'teeth.' You do have 'severence,' 'delectation,' and 'handbag' in your favour though. Great read! Made me chortle. Yup.
Bye!

Christina, it really worries me how desperate I feel if my laptop isn't working for some reason. Even though I'm not quite at that stage with my mobile, I can relate to this.

That's some touchpad issue you got there James lol. It has to be said, it's not the most elegantly structured/phrased poem but will return to it at a later date. What's wrong with 'funk' and 'teeth'?? Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your comment.
Thanks also Joanie for your comment - and yes it is rather worrying how dependent we can become on chip driven devices but it's quite cathartic confessing!

Bob
I have been looking forward to this one for a while and it was certainly worth the wait! This spoke loudly to me especially as I am a fellow owner of afore-mentioned gadgetry :-)
I wonder if we all google and LOL at the same time without knowing it? As we are of an age where we knew a life that existed with such technological must-haves, isn't then funny that we now feel we can't completely cope without them!?
Great Bob and one that certainly had me giggling and exclaiming 'I do that too!!!'

BTW, I'm sure there's a much more eloquent and succinct way of putting that. However, I'm afraid my brain is over course-worked. So apologies for word salad and subsequent ramblings :-)

The Walrus,
What a cool poem, definitely one for the times. Me pc is me only piece of hardcore technology that I have, but it is quite cool, and I do love 'googling' away the hours' on it. I won't go into details about me mobile, but it's classed as an 'offensive weapon' it's that big and heavy! You must have a few quid there The Walrus, fe all those ting and tings!
I enjoyed what you did with, 'an-ti-ci-pa-tion', that was a cool effect and you even got some 'bling' in there! Hahaha! Nice one!
Thanks
Don

Cheers Don. Y'know you can get free upgrades on mobiles but if yours doubles up as an offensive weapon then perhaps you're best sticking with it.
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it!
