Falling Stars

the flame enfolded the moth
as love redressed our flesh
the moon thrown into space
my dagger stabbing the dark,
here we are cinders of passion
wrapped in sheets of blackness
burnt almonds smoke curling up
towards the light of falling stars
love leaving all a cosmic bonfire.

I liked this a lot. The helplessness of the moth.

this bit
..wrapped in sheets of blackness
burnt almond smoke curling up
towards the light of falling stars..

was spectacularly evocative. The burnt almond smoke gives the sense of the bittering of the sweet. I was wondering what had made you use this?

many thanks

Saz
