fruity poem Alice and the lemon seems to have answered its own question at the end. Is a squeeze a hug? Nikki NB lemons might be bitter but they're a great tonic for the body :-)

Alice, I often say in my job, "I'm not going to stand here like a lemon waiting for you to stop talking!" I shan't say it again because I shall be thinking of being squeezed and being tasty after reading this! Better hadn't stand in front of everybody squirming deliciously! As Nikki said, fruity!

Alice, that sounds lovely! You must have green fingers to tend a lemon tree so successfully :-) Nikki x

Joan, standing there like a lemon is what I say as well. It is true, that lemon trees just there wait to be watered and fed, change pots every 3 years. That sinple. Hence standing there like a lemon.

Very enjoyable piece Stan - got a mixture of everything in it - cheeky/flirty/tender.
Inspired stuff!

Red ...
many thanks, yes cheeky but my lemon tree which you have seen grew more lemons after your visit. Not sure if you sang to it, or talked it, or saw your beauty and decided to compete.

Al
A zesty, fruity, come-hither concoction that I enjoyed. In the last line of the 3rd stanza, you may want to use the singular form for 'juice'; just a thought.
