Well Ken Bigley good bloke it seems you`ve gone.
Sombat Bigley, family, friends, prayed in Thailand, others in Liverpool
and here and there and whereabouts.
Brought our community hands clasped,joined.
Sympathy, around the world from every creed.

Your capture represented a cause,
how dictated arrogant politics should give way to a peoples say.
Who voted for war oh ...i`m not quite sure ,
wasn`t on the voting agenda as far as i`m aware, they spoke of care.

A decent man`s dream lost(to build his house); a
confused nightmare he finds instead.
We go to war to win the peace, the liberators prepare,
for ambush of Arab desparados no dialogue here.
No mercy from his captors was clear.

He became our son ,dad, brother, his face on every paper,T.V screen, around the globe ,capturing our empathy.
An engineer of experience,of wide knowledge and asteem.
He`s given an opportunity in a liberated war machine.

Being kidnapped by friends of before.
Is this the road map of peace we were waiting for?
His life cut short by the mess of war.
Of a conflict, not of choice, never voted for!

We won`t forget you Ken,you are the bridge of peace.
Us at one end, you at the other
So Ken your life will not be in vain .
Until all creed and colour, sister and brother,
come together in peace once again.

Lawrenco a great piece written with passion and one we all agree with.

He died in vain
nothing the same
family bereft
questions unsaid.
Evil should be crushed
till all terrorists are pushed away
and peace will once more rain.

A hopeful poem Lawrenco and I think that that is the only route to walk. An incredibly difficult subject to take on and an important one. Respect. Nikki x

Thanks Alice, for adding your voice to this ,yes terrorism is terrible and barbaric;let`s though not get carried away with the idea of revenge as that can be ware the problems occur.
The Americans don`t seem to want to put money into the country after the war.
Reports of indiscriminate killings are not uncommon, the word occupied has seem to have taken over from liberated.
I really hope things will improve over there but at the moment it still seems, that the occupied forces(yes the Brit`s as well) spend more time on security building ,than infrustructurewe need to get the iragi people on the governments side,I don`t think that is going to happen in the present circumstances-too involved to go on about it know.

Thanks also Gard,Miffle and joanie.
