Mango Porn
I dream of smooth, green, lizard skin Tinged with a ripening flush ...
At night I touch your firm golden flesh with wondering fingers, breathe your seductive sweet scent till I awake and am disappointed.
I catch myself watching for you as I pass places you might be Supermarket, fruiterer, market stall
I walk past and back and back again in an agony of anticipation, yearning. I imagine calling in, casually, and asking for you
I have pictures culled from magazines I paste them on my wall. In the secrecy of my room I dwell on them
I browse for recipes, download them, store them in a special folder, locked with a password known only to me then read them over and over, re-creating in my head murmuring my mango passion in a sorbet of obsession.

Hi Souchong
Certainly a wild obsession but very well put across and an extremely fitting title too. It had a very contemporary, modern feel “download them” as well as being an island dream “smooth, green, lizard skin”
I felt the disappointment of the waking from dream, realisation.
An unusual poem. I liked it very much.

Souchong, I really like this. You have very cleverly woven two ideas - exactly as the title suggests. If there had been no mention of mango, we might have wondered why the flesh was 'smooth green lizard skin', but the poem would have stood as a passionate poem of frustrated love.
I enjoyed this and admire how you have done it.
I love the last line.

Fun poem. Love the idea of being out looking for the mango in places where it might be :-) I too have food addictions and crushes... A wry poem. Write on, Miffle
NB 'eres sabroso como un mango' Mexican chat up line you might appreciate :-) (you are tastey like a mango!)

Fabulous stuff! As has been said, a clever and well crafted weaving together of ideas that really works. I love the tone of secrecy... an illicit affair indeed.
