Lay on the ground corn all around looking up at sky of blue, all I think of is you.
Turn over, tufts rough picking the the corn ears not enough, summer sun over and done think our love was just a summer sun.
Harvest comes, harvest goes. Not good we all know, another year another love, no change in the sky above.

Alice, a lovely thought, to be lying in the corn looking up at the sky. Mixed feelings of contentment and resignation to losing something special. another year, another love - I hope not!

I love the way you have captured the paradoxical essence of how everything changes and yet, stays the same.
Simple, succinct and effective, as always.

Joan I used to love laying in the corn and looking up at the sky as a child. Might be how I started to paint or write.who knows.

Name me a man/woman that you know who can put their hand on their heart and say this Stan. I know of none. However, this piece is, I hope, is a tribute to every person who rises to the daily challenges of life, if you like, a celebration of man's indefatigable spirit.

It`s Like Love is a seasonal thing ,
Kind of expresses that love never really goes away ,just becomes reborn into the next person you meet who you feel that for.
A great anecdote for those who have just split from a relationship.
Great wisdom here .Keep it in your emotional medicine cabinet.

Patrick, true love never dies it waits for you. I have never stopped loving but then I have never looked for someone else. As you say, till the next person and you might find a similar love again.
