What did you see beyond the cavity of life?
the eyes are like the gateway to the soul,
did you dream of a love unknown?
or was it a life when seeds were sown.

Are you expecting a flower to bloom?
the minute you met,oh so soon,
take care to nurture and reap,
before the blossoms die and weep.

cavity can also mean a hollow place.
Where you place your eyes to the soul.
Unseeing yet a life beyond.

Thank you for the explanation Alice, I can't pretend to understand it but clearly it's a very strong image for you and the poem remains a powerful piece regardless of people's interpretations/understanding.
