TOO LATE

Two minutes,
two hours,
two days,
too late.

Want a life,
want freedom,
want to be free,
set me free from my misery.

Alone,
asking,
wanting,
freedom to live again.

Is it too much to ask?
You have rain,we do not.
You have war,not in your country,
we do,so help us.

Hi Alice,

Deceptive this piece, seems to be in the first person, but it's not. A simple plea, but compelling because media like television have made ignoring others misery so easy.

Well done, neatly crafted without being merely worthy.

I don't know what this is referring to Stan (not reading newspapers), but it reads well as a generic piece - referring to any world injustice.

Red thanks for the comments. Was about Sudan and the war and drought.
