LETTING GO

Words, tears, deep breaths emerge
Pouring out like a hearty commotion.
It is that sudden rush of emotion
When your soul becomes submerged
With that terrible blow.
Just let it all go.

Yes, your love is unrequited
And all hope becomes slighted.
But this is a lover’s redemption,
That liberating sensation.
Except for your anxious heart-beat,
And knowing, never again can you meet.

Libera..nothing worse than unrequited love. Very painful and nothing you do will make it work.

There is someone waiting in the future. Then all hell is let loose on such passion.

Libera, you've captured the emotion really well. I'm sure we've all been there.

Like Alice says, there is someone waiting in the future.

Well done,

Marie

Hi Libera,

Beautiful poem and one I could identify with. You've formed your words masterfully in this poem.
