assumptions resumed,

you,
arrogant,
omniscient,
forever in control -
me,
the shameless whore
put out to perish in the cold.
Sluttish sores
serve as my stigma,
putrid flesh a warning sign -
such acid contagion and terror
at the smugness of your kind.

Phew! This got to me just after reading it once. Love the words you used, like "promises untold,
assumptions resumed," they have a poetic quality all of their own.
