The Christening Morning
the birthday
the deathday
the livingday,
today
mothers
nature
gave
him,
birth
and death
and living,
now
flesh
carries
tradition,
happily
fulfilling
family
planning,
a little
living
history,
a little
dying
future,
his
childish
smile
chooses,
all eyes
are blessed,
we applaud,
complement
the service
and carry on,
drinking until
unconscious
morning
chooses us
to live.
