You found no weapons of mass destruction, yet you still went to war you killed the innocent people with not a care at all.
You found the graves of mass destruction Saddam had butchered them all.
Was that enough to go to war? Can your conscience conquer all? Do you have a conscience Bush and Blair? Or like Saddam be the slayer.

Very potent. Do two wrongs make a right? How does 'we may never find the WMD' get to be used in place of 'we weren't sure if there were any WMDs in the first place'?
Is it ever about evidence, courage, conscience, or rather, about (pseudo-religious) convictions and the need to harness the means of production, nay destruction.

Hi Alice, 'the graves of mass-destruction' - a potent image. Which is more important, the reasons for action or the results? Is it wrong to do nothing when action may bring more death and destruction? Will things improve, can the human race evolve in the right direction? Who'd want Blair's/Bush's job? Are there any answers? Thought-provoking poem, write on.
Nell.

Hello Alice,
How right you are, about the graves of mass destruction. The issue of self determination of a country and its people takes an entirely different tack in the context of Saddam Hussein (for which read Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, the endless succession of South American / Korean / South East Asian dictators.....
What would I do in the position of Tony Blair? I really don't know.Probably the same as he did.
