You entered my life
like a breath of fresh air,
a smile so radiant
a beauty so rare.

The doe eyed girl
with hair flowing Brown,
capturing the heart
of all around.

Your elegance and stance
second to none,
you stayed for a moment
and then you were gone.

Unable to capture,
on canvas at least,
that vision of radiance
of Rosso unleashed.

I can show the world
my daughter of Red,
proud that I am,
no more to be said.

Alice,

That's lovely - I'm sure Christina would be proud herself of this wonderful dedication. :)

"you stayed for a moment
and then you were gone."

Where's she gone?? You are referring to Walrus yes?

Thanks Nahed, Yes it is the Walrus. Came up for the weekend and all too short a time.
Beautiful girl both inside and out.

Hi Roova

I am confused? Lovely dedication. wondered who Christina was. Did Walrus, the poet on this site visit you?

Al

A heartfelt lyric of a bond between two shades of Red, capturing Rosso perfectly in the shutters of the mind's eye. A beautiful, moving dedication.

Alice

you create a gentle and loving image ( which I am sure reflects Chirtina perfectly) I am minded to ask if you need the line 4 in the first verse it does rather jar having the extra line and I think that by removing the line you lose nothing from the poem and in fact make it a gentler piece

You entered my life
like a breath of fresh air,
a smile so radiant
a beauty so rare.

take care

David, thank you for pointing it out. Took the line out and it wasn't really needed.

Lovely affectionate poem,of course feelings are often difficult but to express joy of friendship so succinctly is certainly endearing to read. Not being familliar with Rosso though.
