Not a day goes by
When he doesn’t think of those boys
Lists them by how much they cried.
And not a moment turns
Without him crying
He treated them all so badly.

And those boys
Curse him
Hate him
Loathe him.

And not a day goes by
Without their minds turning
Place him in their heads under how much they feared him.

Not a moment goes by
A second gone
Without them crying
‘he did us wrong’

And its been years now.
Guilt just grows.

Serious stuff indeed.
The repetition of time and the circular form well emphasise both sides feelings of guilt and hatred. Abuse and adult exploitation of it's perceived authority (at whatever level) is a difficult and emotive subject to write about - and even to objectively read about. Congratulations on doing so.
Regards, Graham.

An excellent piece found late on Random Read.
