You are my present,
not my past,
nor my future,
today and now.

We love for today,
die for today
today and now.

The past has gone,
dead and buried,
long gone
no more.

Tomorrow is another day,
tomorrow will be the present,
today will be the past,
no longer here,
gone forever.

Hi Alice,

loved this poem. It's so true to most people's way of thinking. But are memories past, or are they a future we will experience when we die?

Ste; who is out past, present,or future.
Are we of this world or of another.
Do we love because we are told to,or because we can.
Who knows.

Hi Alice,
Have you read 'The precious present'? It's all about the search for something precious - that special present.... but it turns out that it's not a present, as in a gift, but the very precious gift of THE PRESENT - what we are experiencing right now!! We take it for granted too often.

I love your title, compared to the poem.... 'my presence/my present. Very significant, I thought.
