A Special Kind Of Friendship

What kind of friend are you?
The things we go through…
On the emotional roller-coaster
Me, and my (favourite) toaster!
What kind of friend am I?
If I feel this high
When I see your face
Then claim to need some space!
What kind of friends are we?
With all this jealousy
Both scared to speak our minds
This friendship’s so unkind!
What kind of friends are we?
The way you look at me
Are we living a lie?
Oh, little sweetie pie!
And all that smiling?
There’s no beguiling…
Behind this feeling.
Only by healing
Will it go away.
Right now, it’s here to stay.

A gem of a piece Libera - encapsulating a very common type of 'friendship'.
