I Put Him On A Pedestal

I put him on a pedestal.
I never knew how much I'd fall,
So deep and desperately in love,
With feelings I just can't shove.

I wish he never goes away,
With hope it's this I pray, each day.
For HE brings out my pilgrim soul:
Spirit, love and faith - a true whole.

Never put a man on a pedestal, or a woman.
They fall off.
Never expect too much as they are a person not a god.

Love warts and all.
Thats how it will survive.

Guess we've all done it as some point, bloody painful when he falls off and squishes you.

Like the way you've conveyed that completely 'lost in a person' scenario.

Very simple, yet conveying of much feeling. I always say to people 'Don't put me on a pesestal, I'm afraid of heights'! But then being 5ft nothing thats not difficult. Good Stuff!
