A beautiful Haiku, John. Lovely images of soft, summer rain. I like the idea of threads of rain sewing... Nice one.

John, simply beautiful, a new way of seeing, a small revelation.

Hello Alice,Hello Joanie, Hello Nell.

Many thanks for your comments, at least something pleasurable comes out of a chill, rainy day. Late afternoon when I finished this (Winter here) the low clouds split open in the North and a brilliant, almost erotic, sliver of setting sun, shot through with gray, ignited the horizon. It was such a powerful image and it was all gone in less than five minutes.

Hi Long Jon
Just read your lovely haiku about the rain threads. Really beautiful.

I'm trying to write a haiku on rain at the moment but the last line is eluding me.

Still, watch this space and it might appear in the not too distant future!

I'm hoping to spend time reading some more of your poems this weekend.

All the best,

Barlow
