A tender love,
fleeting touch.
All gone wrong,
just a dream.

We never said hello,
never said goodbye,
just au revoir
'til next time.

Alice, I like the mystery of this; I wonder if this is literally a dream lover, ( a lover in a dream) or if (as the title seems to suggest) he was flesh and blood. The lines We never said hello,/never said goodbye, are so tantalizing. Perhaps in some ways those lovers of dream and fantasy are the best of all, as they can never disillusion us.

Nell.

A teasing poem, I thought..
"Its all gone wrong" and is just "a dream"...but its also "au revoir till next time". Either this isn't over, or there's hope to look ahead to the future and move on.
Nicely enigmatic
Like it!

Alice

I too got the impression that you were speaking of an imaginary person, maybe your ideal lover that sadly you never met in reality.

This is real and it's not me.
I wish.

Alice, a wistful poem. An enigma - sort of seems the tip of the iceberg! Like the way the speaker seems to question his/her reality - dream?/real?/dream?/real? and so on... Last two lines sound as if it's all accepted - almost throw-away, flippant as if speaker is now quite impartial (?) Good one, Miffle

Alice, also found the title an enigma too - Partly thought of the poem as June speaking to May i.e. if you think of the months as people then yes, they touch but fleetingly... That I thought was a lovely idea... Miffle

It has a wonderful portayal of a
of powerful moments that we take for granted .Possible cherished moments. There is a probable positive feeling comming from this .That these things happen and "thats life".Nice one Alice.
