Missing You

As I stand up here, in front
of row upon row of nameless faces
staring out
in search of someone special

Missing you
I just keep smiling on
knowing if anything had been different
I would never have met you

My life would not have changed
I wouldn’t be so happy, and
I wouldn’t be so open
even though I miss you so

However far we part
I want to stay in touch
because I owe so much to you
and couldn’t bear to lose you

I know the feelings in this exactly. Lovely, Rai; well expressed.
typo: 'lose'

Thank you so much :), non-dark poetry is kind of a new field for me so I'm glad I can do it. Cheers for the typo, i do have a tendency not to check these things, oops.
Thanks,

Rai, love this gently joyful side of your poetry, feelings beautifully expressed, your work lately is like an awakening. Write on,

Nell.

Delighted to see the flip-side Rai :-) - look forward to reading more in this vein (sp?).

Thank you both, this type of work has a more positive effect of myself as well, so there'll probably be more.
