I got a new mouse
who has its own house
but the curser is going erratic.

I click on it here
click on it there
still the mouse runs pedantic.

Got used to my old mouse
second to none
used it too much
which i know.

What should i do
with my silver mouse?
stick it and show
who owns it.

Alice, changing from a PC fixed to a Dell laptop was something I didn't take to either... i.e. I lost my mouse with the long wiggly tail :-)

We all get attached to things, that's for sure - guess sometimes it's time to give the New Mouse On The Block a chance! I had a dressing-up box as a child and used to wear the same white furry hat (most peculiar!) and brown/orange/yellow 70s print dress all the time... :-)

This reads a little like the A A Milne children's poem about the dormouse 'what shall I call my dear little dormouse...'Think it would make a great children's poem - especially if you worked on the rhythm some more - a scurrying by! And also think it would work as lots of kids are very internet/ IT savvy these days! I think (?) Nikki :-)

Thank you Nikki,
I was just getting mad with the new mouse.
I remember A.A. Milne. Great writer.
Think its because i only have small hands and i can't handle a larger mouse.
At least I got a poem out of it.;-))
xxxxxxx Alice

Hi Roovacrag

interesting how the first half of your poem rhymes and the second doesn't. It does rather remind me of a childs poem.
Yes I think as Miffle says.

I use my finger pad on my G4 laptop (bliss) unless I get something on my finger then its a mess, or the cat walks over it- one of them seems to really enjoy doing that, I think he is objecting ot my poetry!-

Hi Alice, love the almost-rhyme (what is that called?) of erratic/pedantic, and know exactly how you feel. I have a fairly new silver mouse that is incredibly sensitive compared to the old one. When the sun is shining through the window on it briefly in the morning it refuses to work, and I have to draw the curtains!

Nell.
