My freedom,
your prison.

My space,
your wasteland.

Your comfort,
my claustrophobia.

Your cosiness,
my numbness.

Two glasses (one chipped),
raised, in celebration.

Sometimes freedom as we think is a prison.
What is space but a wasteland.
comfort if too enclosed can be claustrophobic.
What is a woman without a man........lonely.
What is a life, when the one you love is dead....
devastated.
Good poem.

I really liked this - I can't explain why, unfortunately, but I think that something is lost if we try to explain too much. I have read it aloud a few times..... yes, I do like it! I love the '(one chipped)'

Succinct & incredibly potent; both intimate and universal; very fine writing.

Best,

Mike
