A walk in the gardens, going around Kew.
Orchids, roses, reds all a bloom.
When can I say three magical words to my Sunflower? I love you.

I loved the simplicity of this piece, says it all! If only everything in life were that simple, needless to say it should be! Love Ling Ling x

Alice, a florist's delight! A poem about a place that is dear to you tickling free thoughts of two people who are also dear to you. We all experience this - yes, places are perceived differently by each individual... Write on, Miffle
A thought: puzzled by your last stanza (?). Are you asking for permission to say 'I love you'?! Also wondered why (given your dedication) your Sunflower is just one not two OR a Sunflower and another flower?

Like Ling Ling, I loved the simplicity of this piece. Words are wonderful, but sometimes a few can can convey so much more than many, and occasionally, none at all, a whole universe.
Beautiful piece Stan.

Thank you all for your comments.
Easy to write about people you love.
Like looking at a carnation and remember your only love.
Or a Begonia that the dog thought it tasted better than it looked.
Thank you.
xx Alice
