I stepped away
for a moment
fell heart first
in this life
and barred
my own
way home.
My mountains
missed me
trees spoke
my name
the shore
wept
to see me gone.
I am still
her daughter
salt water
in my veins
bracken
at my feet
I hope she knows.

fell heart first
in this life
and barred
my own
way home.
My mountains
missed me
trees spoke
my name
the shore
wept
to see me gone.
I am still
her daughter
salt water
in my veins
bracken
at my feet
I hope she knows.
