Perspective
Alive but not living
Dying but not dead
Nature’s unforgiving
Leave nothing left unsaid
Lilies do no strive
Just take the sun and rain
To simply be alive
Abide return remain
Only we remember
Only we recall
The winter of December
The burnished gold of Fall
Nature gives us life
And takes it away
Blind to peace and strife
But steadfast night and day
So live and love our story
Though Nature’s beauty dies
It returns in glory
Night becomes sunrise
Alive but not living
Dying but not dead
Nature’s unforgiving
Leave nothing left unsaid
Lilies do no strive
Just take the sun and rain
To simply be alive
Abide return remain
Only we remember
Only we recall
The winter of December
The burnished gold of Fall
Nature gives us life
And takes it away
Blind to peace and strife
But steadfast night and day
So live and love our story
Though Nature’s beauty dies
It returns in glory
Night becomes sunrise
