When The Clocks Change

Posted: 21 March 2020 Word Count: 58 Summary: Strange times. I read about a fairy ring tonight. Apparently all who dance within a fairy ring, under a new moon can be lost in time and place...never to return. Feels a bit like that right now. |

Spring forward
fall back.
Hidden shoots
peek out.
Smiling faces
towards a
bashful sun.
Faerie rings
illuminated
by the
new moon
beckoning all
to the enchanted
spring ball.
But where have
the dancers
gone?
Social distancing
with nature.
Lost to time
and place.
Never to
return?
Spring forward.
I mouth
the phrase
turn the
clock hands
and pray.
