it isn’t settled
add more time

Take thirty-two,
place in Cup

Put resultant mix
in heat and, if

Is this football? It took me a while to work it out! This is very clever - I like how the cookery terms apply perfectly to the football scenario.

I like what you've done, but I prefer the first version. I can't really explain why - it's just more succinct.

I kept thinking about 'fan assisted' all day yesterday!

Yes, I think you’re probably right.  The first was spontaneous, whereas v.2 was trying to make the (probably unnecessary) distinction between the 32 qualifying teams and the finalists – and a (sporting) ‘heat’ isn’t really the same as a Cup ‘tie’ is it.  Thank you for your advice which reminded me of a junior school teacher who cautioned us to ‘stop when you’ve finished’

I didn't get this at first either not knowing a thing about football. But having read your explanation I now see it. Like the others I think version 1 is the best. 2 strays too much from the point. Great response to the challenge.
