fills up all my thoughts….
hypotheses on cheddar cheese
or long Bermuda shorts,
penny whistles,
rusty chisels,
Gothic Perpendicular,
cocoa tins
banana skins….
 
but nothing in particular.
 
Poppy sellers,
discount stores,
worm casts so vermicular,
Interstellar cosmic wars….
 
but nothing in particular.

That's a great response to the prompt, Mike. It's so entertaining and it fair skips along very freeling linking all these disparate things.
I particularly like

meandering and cosmic, like the subconscious of a true poet! wink I like the mundane interwoven with the grandiose, creates a nice balance.
