I’ve got a load of baby chicks
With corn I’m gonna ply ‘em
Then, when they’re big enough to eat
I’ll wring their necks and fry ‘em

The vegetarian case in a nutshell! Besides, what Colonel Sanders was seeing in his moment of inspiration was a great big dollar sign followed by a 1 and a string of zeros. My father used to keep chickens and just before Christmas he would go out, pick a likely one, and wring its neck. I could never bring myself to do that – but the chicken was yummy on Christmas Day.
 
Just a few random thoughts. It’s a good joke.
